Position: Fabrication Quality Technician (m/w/d)
Location: Heilbronn
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Hours: 35 - 40 hours per week
Your Responsibilities
- Guarantee the accurate positioning and alignment of metal joints and components following detailed construction and fabrication plans.
- Execute and monitor welding and joining sequences according to established technical procedures and quality standards.
- Inspect and measure weld preparations and completed joints to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances.
- Assess and maintain welding equipment, materials, and auxiliary tools, ensuring they meet operational and safety requirements.
- Lead and support fabrication personnel by providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to quality and safety protocols.
- Conduct comprehensive inspections during all fabrication stages, including pre- and post-assembly checks.
- Perform non-destructive testing methods such as visual inspection, magnetic particle testing, and ultrasonic testing to verify weld integrity.
- Document all inspection results meticulously, ensuring traceability and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Collaborate with quality management and production teams to continuously improve fabrication processes and testing procedures.
- Manage workflow organization, coordinating tasks to meet project deadlines while maintaining safety and quality benchmarks.
- Uphold workplace standards related to safety, cleanliness, and orderliness following 5S and SQCDP principles.
- Prepare workstations and verify that all operational instructions and safety measures are consistently followed.
Your Profile
- Completed vocational training in metal fabrication, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
- Practical experience with welding processes, particularly MAG welding, supported ideally by relevant certifications.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
- Experience with non-destructive testing techniques and quality assurance practices.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and crane equipment is advantageous.
- Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards in all tasks.
